Calphalon One Nonstick Frittata Pan
I love this time of year. Now that the markets are starting to show a wider variety of fresh produces, as a welcome relief from winter’s soups and stews, I start thinking about cooking lighter. One dish that I particularly enjoy making is the frittata - a mixture of eggs, fresh vegetables and cheese all mixed together - although I don’t think mine are particularly pretty. And speaking of egg dishes, I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t make a decent veggie omelet if my life depended on it.
Always on the look out for essential cookware, I was pretty psyched to discover the Calphalon One Nonstick Frittata Pan available exclusively at Williams-Sonoma. This pan is basically two pans, one interlocked on top of the other, so you can easily cook one side of the egg dish and then do a quick flip to cook the other, bypassing the need to use a plate. Brilliant!
Better yet, both pans also can be used independently: put the base pan to work frying foods and making omelets and use the shallow top pan to prepare crepes. It’s even oven and broiler safe to 500ºF.
Hungry yet? I know I am! I’m heading to the market this weekend to pick up some fresh produce and can’t wait to get back in the kitchen to turn out some lovely frittatas.
~bon appetit!
