Chef in Residence program returns to University District Farmers Market

What do you do with kohlrabi?

How do you prepare lobster mushrooms?

What’s the best way to cook purple cauliflower?

chefinresidenceShoppers who are inspired by the diversity of produce at the farmers market but uncertain how to take advantage of the bounty now have a resource. The Chef in Residence program is FREE to the public and takes place at the University District Farmers Market every Saturday from 10am to noon, starting June 27. Each week, a professional chef will be present at the Chef booth to answer shoppers’ questions about produce and cooking ideas. Seasonal recipe cards will be available, too.

I for one am thrilled at such an incredibly unique opportunity to receive expert shopping and cooking advice straight from a local cadre of such notable gourmet chefs. Check out the line up!
