This fall, diners are looking for a good reason to get out and eat, and clearly, there’s no better way to welcome the cold weather season and a slow economy than experiencing some of the best dining that the Seattle area has to offer, at a price that won’t hurt the pocketbook. This November 1st through the 30th, chefs at some of the area’s finest restaurants are preparing seasonal, delicious dishes for the return of Seattle’s most popular, dining event- Dine Around Seattle. The Dine Around Seattle website dinearoundseattle.org will have full details complete with restaurant menus for the November promotion in mid-October.

For the month of November, Dine Around Seattle restaurants will feature “lambtastic” starters and entrees among their Dine Around offerings, as well as offer lamb recipes on the Dine Around Seattle website. “The culinary talent in Seattle is impressive and the Dine Around Seattle promotion is a perfect opportunity for us to interact with consumers about the freshness, flavor, nutritional benefits, and culinary versatility of American Lamb”, says Megan Wortman, Executive Director of the American Lamb Board.

To kick off the partnership, 15 Dine Around Seattle chefs will ewe-nite for the first annual American Lamb Jam. The event will take place Sunday, October 25th from 3 to 6 pm, at The Bell Harbor Conference Center International Promenade in Seattle. Guests will participate in a taste-off featuring creative preparation of lusty lamb dishes paired with 15 delicious Washington wines. Ticket holders will vote for their favorites in Best of Show, Most Creative, Best Wine Pairing, and 1st Place Awards for leg of lamb, shank and loin tastes. Media judging will take place on-site. Beecher’s Handmade Cheese and Chocolate Box chocolates will offer tastes as well. Additional information available at dinearoundseattle.org. Tickets for American Lamb Jam are $30 and are available at Brown Paper Tickets, brownpapertickets.com/producer/15770. The first 30 “lambassadors” to purchase tickets to American Lamb Jam will receive a $30 dining certificate to one of Dine Around Seattle’s participating restaurants.
